I got a mail concerning something in eve (was asked not to disclose it, hence also posting with alt since it could be real), i was wondering who should i contact in CCP to find out whether or not it is real?
Thanks!

Can you send me the links in an eve-mail? I'll check it out and see if it looks legit.
i'm not sure if i can do that.. as if they go where they supposedly goes it would give it away.
i went the manual route through to the site it supposedly links to, only difference is that the link in the mail has .asp at the end while it doesn't show in my browsers address bar...should that make a difference?

If it involves a response to a petition you sent, it has a high probability of being legit. Or, if it is a response to some other previous forms of official communication.
If it involves some special offer "only you and a select few" received... most probably fake.
no to the highlighted text the non highlighted...not sure what you mean by it...:(

i have..I'm kinda security paranoid :P
isn't there anyone i could mail at CCP for this? or would filing a petition asking work?

How about the website? I can probably look up who owns it and see if it's CCP or something sketchy.
the link shows http://www.eve-online.com/xxxxxxxxxx , but from what i understand there are ways of concealing to where a link leads....thats what i'm concerned about, not the sites that it supposedly leads to but the small chance of it being concealed and leading somwhere else...

i've decided to petition it, i think CCP should make a list of real mail adresses or something or send an in game notification....
